Stratum:   Fill, B46 abuts on it southern end the eastern wall and the scarp of B43. On the N it is bounded by B45.
Notes:   B 46 is dark greyish brown, loose silty sand with a 20% inclusion of moderately sorted medium to coarse pebbles, few cobbles, and red-painted plaster. Small finds include 3 bronze lumps, charcoal bits, and a small fragment of glass slag.
B46 overlays the compacted reddish brown soil that abuts the eastern wall (B47). It forms a dog-leg around it was if someone dumped fill from the top of B47 down around its edges. After a couple of cm, the soil changed dramatically to a white marl like clay that had cobble size inclusions of red clay and more charcoal bits. It was thought at the time that B 47 over laid this stratum below B46. This was incorrect. See B 47.
