Type:   Basket
Name:   NB977 B78 P168
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil
Notebook:   977
Context:   78
Page:   168
Date:   2006/06/02
Stratum:   Fill. Soil is light reddish brown sandy clay with 40% pebbles, 35% cobbles, weakly cemented.
Notes:   B 78 is the excavation of the soil between B 77 and B 76. We are trying to understand the relationship of this layer to the two on either side of it. The soil is much softer but much rockier as well. It seems that the layer is coming down on soemthing identical to the west. There is a thinner clay patch running along the edge of the pit to the south. However, the foundation trench (?) of wall 215 should be taken out because we are coming down on it. It may simply be a levelling course. Found bronze. See top plan pg. 165
