Stratum:   Pit against E side of W290. Soil is light reddish brown sandy clay 20% pebbles, 20% cobbles, loose.
Notes:   B42 is the excavation of what appears to be a pit-like area up against the east wall of W290. We pulled some pottery out of this "hole" but have found nothing else of significance. Top plan on p.73
