Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish grey. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Deposit 505 is a roughly circular disturbance in the floor bounded between walls 313 and 332 revealed by the excavation of deposit 398. Because of the shape of the deposit and the numerous large pits in Nezi field, deposit 505 apeared to be the fill of a large pit cut through the floor. Excavation of the deposit revealed several unexpected deposits: portions of the floor slumped inward but intact seem to indicate the presence of a disturbance at a lower elevation; there is a lens of compact clayey dirt that may have acted as a work surface for whatever operation deposit 505 is connected with; this work surface overlays what appears to be very chunky pit fill. At this point, because of the various contexts revealed and the lack of clrity about the formation, it is decided to close the basket.
