Stratum:   30% inclusions: pottery, tile, plaster, glass, stones (mixed- coarse pebbles and cobbles, subrounded and angular), charcoal, bone
Description:   The soil color is light pinkish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Small section on the E side of pit that was not taken down to same level as previous deposit because pickman detected discernable difference in this area. 5348 was underlying the leveling fill 5325. It was more compact than 5325 (perhaps due to the thin baulk that was exposed during the 1960s excavation, which may have been susceptible to weather and flooding due to its position directly on top of a low surface level to the E of 5348). The goal was to remove this deposit and to attempt to bring it down to the level of 1960s excavations abutting 5348 to the E. 1 bag glass, 1 bag bone collected, but no finds of great significance.
