Description:   The context shape in plan is irregular. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat.
Notes:   A cleaning to the west of this cut revealed that it does not continue beyond the western edge of the large block of wall 5519. The cut is bounded in the east by wall 5483, which a large stone of wall 5519 abuts. Therefore, this cut spans precisely the width of this single large stone and extends only to the bottom of this stone, where a hard packed surface, possibly a floor, was revealed. Since the boundaries of this cut are in line with the bottom and two sides of this stone, it is possible that it is a robbing trench intended for this stone, but the stone was never removed because it was too big. Excavation on the north side of wall 5519 and east side of walls 5519 and 5483 may reveal foundation trenches and will hopefully tell us more about the wall 5519 and cut 5522.
The shape of the cut is quadrilateral with two parallel sides.
