Notes:   We are removing a deposiit form the north of wall 5519. This is not the foundation trench for the wall, but it may cut into it. We expose roof tiles underneath. We also e=xpose another block in N-S Wall 38. Also revealed is a course of blocks from Wall 5519. We stop when we encounter similar dirt that nonetheless seems to cut beneath the clayey scarp around it. This soil therefore belongs to a different deposits since it underlies the clayey scarp nearby.
