Description:   The context shape in plan is square. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat. Truncation: Cut appears to have its original shape.
Notes:   Cut 5961 is cut of foundation trench 5960 (=5573). This cut is equivalent to cut 5910 documented in 2008. Foundation trench for wall 5463. Removal of trench 5960 and documentation of cut 5961 part of program to clear all later fills and deposits in order to have only revealed floor surfaces left for excavation.
Cut 5961 located on north side of wall 5463 in room north of courtyard of Byzantine house.
Cut 5961 cuts directly into compacted earth floor surface which was revealed by removal of several other contexts (5945, 5939, 5933).
It is square in shape and runs E-W. It has vertical walls and sharp breaks of slope at top and bottom. The bottom is relatively flat.
Cut 5961 equivalent to cut 5574 to east which is part of same foundation trench and was excavated in 2008.
