| Notes: | We are excavating a balk left as a martyr along the N side of wall 5552 by the 1960s excavation in order to establish the chronology oof the walls in the area and the chronological relationships of the balks to the N and S of wall 5552 and to the E of wall 5965. Removal of the deposit revealed a harder, darker deposit with fewer inclusions (=deposit 5979), but not enough information to draw conclusions as to the nature of the fill. | |
