Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Deposit context 603 is a layer of loose fill. It is located east of wall 332 and abutting it and west of the hump of collapsed tile in the center of the room bounded by walls 332 to the east, 305 to the south, 306 to the west, and 365 to the north. It was determined by scraping that the fill 603 lays against the tilely layer and so must be a later deposition. The removal of the softer, darker fill 503 revealed more of the blonder soil that seems to be running underneath the tile rich deposit as well as a very black soft deposit that is high in inclusions. This blacker deposit seems to be running underneath the blonder deposit as well as the EW wall 365, suggesting that 365 is a later wall than either 306, 305, or 332. A row of stones was also partially revealed, that may be the southward continuation of the drain 426. It is running under the blonder lens.
