Description:   The soil color is dark yellowish grey. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. Structure materials: limestone. Material size: large L .41 W .23 H .13 small L .19 W .15 H .15. Material finish: unworked. Material construction: coursed. Material bonding: mud.
Notes:   we are excavating this foundation as part of an ongoing process of establishing the chronology and phasing of the walls in this area. Removal of the wall revealed a lower wall that may be part of the same construction phase as wall 6120.
It should be made distinct that the possible wall continuation of 6120 was later numbered 6190, and that the area covered by 6117 is thought to be the foundation for a pier (?) that would have cut ? 6190. This pier foundation is being excavated as structure 6249.
