Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   After cleaning this bothros pit of accumulation and back fill we are opening a new context. At the s. edge of the bothros Panos saw the remains of some wall running under the surrounding soil. The purpose of this context is to see whether 1) the wall cut the bothros 2) the bothros cut the wall 3) wall first then robbed out then bothros cut. The only way we could determine the exact relationship/combination of cuts, etc. was to excavate this soil. The final interpretation is that the bothros cut the wall- we came to this conclusion because as we excavated 6372 we found neither wall nor robbing trench for wall so the bothros must have been the latest feature. Panos can, however, see the foundation trench for the wall.
