Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy clay.
Notes: | Context 804 was opened because Panos thought that the edges of the pit were becoming more regular, like a well's would be expected to be. Also, no more clay was being excavated. However, this turned out to be a very shallow context, as very soon we reached a few large blocks that seem to be aligned with each other as well as with the large block exposed by the removal of 803 in the west scarp of pit 430. These stones most likely make up a wall. Also, 804 is therefore most likely the continuation of 803. Lots of carbon was in this context as well. Photo 245 was taken after excavation, showing the large squared blocks in situ.
