Stratum:   Pottery, bone, tile, pebbles, cobbles, iron, glass, carbon. Inclusions 20-40%.
Description:   The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Portion of context to S was looser and contained more pebbles/cobbles on surface. We initially thought this might be a separate context running beneath a layer of more clayey soil to the N, but Panos says it's all the same. In the W side of this context at bottom, a softer orangey soil was exposed sloping down from W to E. In the NW corner, this orangey soil seems to be sloping underneath a harder greyish white clay. Excavation extended E along a southern arbitrary baulk line created by previous excavations in this area, until ~10 cm W of N-S wall 746. On the E, pass extended to the S end of 731 (remnant/foundations of wall).
21 May 2012: No top elevation taken under assumption that previous context would contain info. Top elevation listed comes from bottom of 712 which, as best we can determine, immediately overlay the middle portion of this context.
24 May 2012: This context may have been overlaid by 712, 717, and/or 720 from session 1.
