Description: | The soil color is light brownish grey. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted.
Notes: | We are digging 876 to uncover prior contexts on the scarp dividing the E-W robbing trench E of center. The layer has a broad surface area but is relatively shallow. This context is a brownish grey and is laden with pottery sherds. Likely a levelling fill. 5 June 2012 When we arrived, the workmen had finished the context. It exposes four new layers below. We have decided to start digging a blackclayey soil layer (now 878), which Thanasis believes is a cistern, and it seems posterior to the adjacent layers, but prior to 876.
