Stratum:   50% inclusions; tile, ceramics, bone, glass, shell, iron
Description:   Top slope of the context is level down to the N. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This context, located to the south of the wall 992, consists of a flat layer of tile, very similar to 982, but the flat tiles of this layer seem to be slightly thicker. Also, the consistency of the soil in these two contexts seem similar. The yellowish brown soil was quite soft. We found a few iron nails, glass, and even very fine sherds.
The layer was not deep, but at the end of excavating this context, we came down almost on the same level as the surrounding contexts excavated in 2012. We hope to relate the tile layer to strata excavated previously in 2012. WE changed contexts after tiles were removed and no remaining tiles were visible on the surface.
