Description:   The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is silt.
Notes:   Deposit 1101 was exposed after the excavation of context 1100. It appears to be a very copact layer made of lime, well sorted tile and pottery fragments and very small fragments o f charcoal. It is 3cm thick in average. The boundaries of 1099 were defined by as follows: in the south, by the edges of the paved courtyard (though the floor can be observed continuing under paving stones); in the north, by the north wall foundation trench (1084); in east, by a scarp (it had been decided bisect the unpaved courtyard and excavate an area spanning 2m from the west scarp); and in the west, by the west edge of the scarp. Since on the east unexcavated side the continuation of deposit 1100 has not been excavated, it is not possible to assess if context 1101 was cut by pit 1078. Based on the high context of rocks, tiles, lime, and tile, this may be a prepatory subfloor.
