Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We begin to remove the fill of the pit by exposing and isolating the flat-bottomed jug that has been visible since 10 April 2014. We do this with trowels and wooden sticks, working carefully to not disturb the rest of the contents of the pit. The earth inside the jug had a large stone in it and a few ceramic sherds. Since much of the fill of the pit had been previously excavated, there was not much earth to remove before reaching the bottom of the fill. The bottom of this pit is characterized by some stones and dark, clayey earth.
Much of this pit was overdug in session I with contexts 26 and 31. Therefore, the removal of this fill and the clearing of the cut of the pit were done out of sequence. Notes added 28/5/2014, K.E.L.
