Notes:   Context 37 is the skeleton of Grave 2014-01. The fill of the grave is Context 13. The cut is Context 128. When excavation began, the skeleton was associated with a skull at the N end of the grave, which has since been distinguished as Context 54 in Grave 2014-05.
A skull revealed at the S demonstrated that the skeleton was fully articulated and oriented roughly S-N. It is lying on its back, turned slightly to its right. Because of the slight twist not every bone was visible before removal of the upper, left side of the body. The skeleton is largely intact and was collected by the conservator, who bagged and labled the bones separately. The skull and spine were removed with the soil because of their fragile state. The bones are generally in good condition except for the skull, of which the face is missing. It appears to be a very young infant; portions of the skeleton were unfused.
The Bone Lot number is 2014-01. MF 2014-1 (lead disc with string hole) was found in the fill of the grave (Context 13) and may be associated with the skeleton as a grave good.
