Description:   Ionic capital. Flat fillets above plain concave canalis, more deeply carved on left face; faces of fillets on slightly different horizontal planes, convex eye. Plain double-trumpet cylindrical bolster is preserved for length of 0.073 from face of outer fillet of volute. Outer edge of volute is flat, plain band, 0.02 wide. Closest parallel in size and form is a capital currently sitting on E side of Lechaion Road near tourist-accessible path to Peirene fountain.
Material:   Fine-crystalled white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving half of face of right volute, from bottom to lower edge of eye, small part of bolster. Original surface intact on preserved portion of bolster; surface chipped on bottom edge of volute and along upper break, esp. on right face.
