| Decoration: | Side A: above lower border of maeander and cross-in-square: Orpheus and the Thracians. Orpheus sits in center, on rock covered with animal skin. Wears chlamys, holds lyre in lap, plectron in rt. hand. 2 figures completely wrapped in Thracian cloaks lean on sticks. Side B: lower part of a draped figure to rt. On rim laurels to rt. Relief contour: staves, lyre, front line of Thracian cloaks. Red over white: fruits and stems of laurel. Red wash on reserved portions. Ovules around handles. Interior glazed. | |
