Description:   Chafing dish with flaring foot, grooved resting surface, concave undersurface; above foot stand contracts then rises steeply with straight profile; part of opening cut into one side. Two vertical strap handles attached to just above foot.
Decoration:   Stand cut with careless oblique slashes, some of which have pierced wall; some streaks of brown paint on stand, foot and handle backs.
Material:   Moderately coarse clay fired tan with numerous fine voids and white inclusions.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving complete foot, two-thirds of stand, lower parts of handles.
