Description:   Chafing dish with straight flaring body, inset rim with protruding ledge on interior, rounded lip, strap handle starting below rim. Similar to C-1937-1107.
Decoration:   Brown glaze on interior.
Material:   Coarse yellowish-red clay with common small to large angular and rounded spherical and tabular white, gray and red inclusions. Frequent small and medium angular platy and rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 5/6 (yellowish red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving small part of upper body, approx. 1/8 rim, and start of handle.
Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
