Description:   Spur-handled kantharos with pedestal foot with quarter round, over which fillet, resting surface grooved, undeersurface deeply hollowed, narrow stem D00.031, echinoid body, tall vertical rim H00.033, to flaring round lip. Two vertical spurred handles attached to upper body and lip.
Decoration:   Black glazed over all except resting surface of foot, red oxide at base of fillet on foot. On floor and off-center 4 stamped palmettes, band of rouletting.
Writing:   graffito. Graffito in Greek scratched after firing on both faces of rim between handles.Side A: ΑΦΡΟΔΙΤΑΣΕSide B: ΛΑΧΕΚΑΙΓΛΥΚΥΠΟΘΟΣ
Material:   Fine light red clay.
Munsell Color:   Near 7.5YR 6/4
Condition:   Complete profile. 10 joining frgts. Complete except for 1/4 lip, large chip in front, most of one handle. Surface badly chipped.
