| Description: | Flat bottom, slightly concave wall, deeply overhanging rim (resembling that of a fishplate). The spout is very deep and wide, but slightly flared and not completely level with the rim. The rim is wheelmade. Perhaps a variant of this type, suggestive of the sort of rim to appear in the Hellenistic rasied-lip form. Cf. Lot 1980-84:1. | |
