| Decoration: | Exterior of foot glazed brown-black with thin reserved line at top and bottom. Widely spaced rays on lower third of body, broad glazed band with W-R-W lines at bottom and top. Animal friezes: one below handle, 2nd on shoulder. Lower: from handlre, to rt., walking goose, ruminating goat, both to rt.; lion to lt. with raised tail; bull to rt. on axis with spout, facing lion to lt. with head in profile; goat to rt. Incision for details, incised blob filling ornament. On upper frieze: ruminating goat to rt., lion to lt., bull to rt., goose to rt. Similar ornament; black square surrounding handle base. Rest glazed, continuing into mouth and neck. | |
