Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Flat resting surface. Concave underside with nipple in center. Exterior of foot squared. Biconical body with angular carination set at approx. two thirds the height of the body. Lower walls hemispherical. Upper walls slightly concave, inclined. Lip inturned, tapered. Vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Red glaze over all. Scraped groove at bottom of handle zone and scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Sides A & B: five grooves in handle zone.
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare medium red inclusions, rare fine sparkling inclusions, and rare voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/3 pink
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining frgts., preserving all of foot, most of body, ninety percent of lip and both handles. Surface has red glaze with two black firing clouds on handle and upper body with other traces of differential firing. RIP. Fingerprints visible on handle
