Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and concave undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; wide lower with horizontal top and straight sloping side ending in tapered edge, upper a high, narrow beveled step articulated from lower by an angle. High conical stem articulated from foot by an angle. Medium-wide body with large, convex lower and concave upper, flaring out to widely to an everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with two horizontal groove bands just below lip and one at lower handle attachment level. Black glaze all over.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with few fine black, rare medium to very large spherical angular white, rare fine sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving foot, stem, most of body, lip, most of both handles. Black glaze worn.
