Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Flat resting surface. Concave underside with nipple in center. Exterior of foot has profile wheel grooved in two degrees. Biconical body with angular carination set at approx. three-fourths the height of the body. Lower walls straight. Upper walls slightly convex, inclined. Tapered lip outturned. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. One scraped groove at bottom of handle zone and one scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Side A: graffito. Side B:scraped groove string of necklace in upper handle zone and incised line in center of handle zone.
Writing:   graffito. Greek, on side A, middle of handle zone

Material:   Fine pink clay with few fine to small black inclusions, rare medium to large red and black inclusions, and rare voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/3 pink
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., & six non-joining frgts., preserving all of foot except several chips, two-thirds of body, three-fourths of lip, all of one handle, & half other handle. Surface has black glaze mostly worn. RIP. Traces of differential firing.
