Description:   Cyma kantharos with wide body, lower almost globular and upper straight and almost vertical in profile, narrowing to a small everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with vertical reeding in lower body except for an X below each handle. A horizontal groove band above level of lower handle attachment and another just below lip. Black glaze all over. Trace of red paint in top groove.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with few fine black, rare fine red and sparkling inclusions. Rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving 2/3 body, 2/3 lip, both handles. Black glaze mostly worn off
