Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with moulded exterior in two degrees; wide and low lower with straight sloping side ending in beveled edge, upper wide, thick ridge continuous in profile from lower, articulated only by thick groove. High conical stem connected to foot by curve. Wide body with almost globular lower and straight upper almost vertical in profile, narrowing slightly to small everted tapered lip. Vertical strap handle with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with vertical reeding in lower body. Double horizontal groove band at level of lower handle attachment. Black glaze all over, except for bottom of foot, resting surface, bottom of undersurface and stem painted with red paint.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with rare fine black and sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving foot, stem, 2/3 body, 1/2 lip, one handle. Black glaze mostly worn off.
