Description:   Calyx kantharos with stem offset from body by ring. Body with compound profile, bottom flares convex to nearly conical with nearly horizontal shoulder joining to upper part, which is set off by single raised ring at shoulder. Upper body has slightly concave flare to an outwardly flanged rim and tapered vertical lip. Two double recurved handles set horizontally at shoulder swinging up vertically to rim but not touching it. Similar to P 5719, P 739 (Agora XXIX.1, p. 250, no. 85, pl. 9, p. 251, no. 89, pl. 9)
Decoration:   Lower wall regularly reeded between the handles with a few irregular strokes of reeding beneath each handle. Traces of black glaze on interior. Exterior polished?
Material:   Fine yellow clay
Munsell Color:   Between 10YR 7/6 (yellow) and 2.5Y 8/6 (yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Several joining frgts., preserving most of body, neck, and rim. Two non-joining fragments of one handle. RIP ring around stem, portions of rim, neck, and one complete handle.
