Description:   Acrocorinth kantharos. Foot in two degrees with flat resting surface; short stem. Deep rounded bottom rising to almost vertical sides, tapering in to narrow, outturned rim with horizontal, rounded lip. Two double round, knotted vertical handles, set above median to just below rim.
Decoration:   Black glaze on foot; resting surface foot, underside and stem reserved. Dull black glaze inside and out, mottled red in places. Between handles ivy pattern, incised tendrils and leaves of added white.
Material:   Fine clay fired pinkish buff, micaceous glints appear through glaze on interior foot.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6.5/6
Condition:   Complete or intact. Complete. Decoration and glaze worn on one side.
Manufacture:   WM 23 Glazed
Period:   4th c. B.C.
