Description:   Probably part of a large Type A skyphos, with a subtly everted rim and slight thinning on the interior to a tapering lip. For comparanda, see C-47-85 (Corinth VII.4, p. 74, no. 188Q, pl. 30) and Agora vol. 30, pp. 302, 304, nos. 1271, 1290, pls. 120-121.
Decoration:   Black glaze on lower exterior, top of rim, and interior; on exterior rim, red figure egg pattern between two parallel lines around the vessel's circumference (two full eggs fit on this sherd).
Writing:   dipinto. Letters painted before firing below rim, Greek: TA
Material:   Very fine light reddish brown clay with no clearly visible inclusions
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Small section of rim, the interior side of which is chipped off in a large horizontal swath around the lip; a few flakes on exterior surface
