Description:   Beaker with flat bottom, articulated from body by 2 circumference grooves at base of body; steep body, rising with slight convex curve (A-E) to vertical rim, articulated from body by relief decoration (F-H), inset round lip, articulated by deep groove (I-J). Cf. C-1963-500A-B.
Decoration:   Body covered with tiny triangles in relief to base of rim (A-H), 2 rows of chevrons or wreaths separated by row of tiny dots at base of rim, (F-H), rim plain (I-J).
Writing:   inscribed. Potter's signature in relief just below rim and interrupting lower chevrons, Latin:B[UC]CI[ON]ORBANUS (
Material:   Fine light red-brown clay with frequent mica, fine black and fewer fine white inclusions.

Condition:   Fragment. Six joining frgts., over half bottom, 2/3 body profile and circumference.
