Description:   Micaceous water jar with narrow stem foot, underside slightly hollowed out in center to make nipple; ovoid body curving into high rounded shoulder, conical neck tapering to narrow outward thickened rim with fine round lip. Single vertical strap handle with groove down back, attached to shoulder and folded down against base of neck, long smear of clay at lower attachment.
Decoration:   Wheel-ridging on body, beginning roughly 0.14 m. above toe to handle attachment, handle zone plain. Red-brown slip applied to upper half of exterior.
Material:   Micaceous tan clay with frequent very fine white, beige and black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 5YR 6/6 Slip: 5YR 4/5
Condition:   Complete profile. Many joining frgts., preserving complete profile; missing ca. 1/4 body and shoulder, 1/3 neck, most of rim; handle complete. 17 non-joining small frgts. left in lot.
