Description:   Plate with flaring ring foot, broad flat resting surface, convex undersurface. Wide flaring body, rising at less than 15 degrees with convex profile to broad outturned rim, nearly horizontal, with round lip. Circumference groove on floor above line of foot, one on either edge of rim.
Decoration:   West Slope decoration on interior: tondo: traces of black glaze; glazed stripe surrounding groove on floor; broad reserved band, broad black glazed band decorated with incised ivy tendril with leaves in clay slip and white dots; in places tendril painted white; broad reserved band, narrow black then reserved stripe at base of rim; rim: broad band of incised black boxed rectangles - parts of two preserved at lt., then narrow panel of checkerboard with white, then incised black checkerboard; framing black stripe at either edge of rim. Reserved portions painted with clay slip. Exterior wholly glazed.
Material:   Fine light gray clay, fractures smooth.

Condition:   Complete profile. Two joining frgts., complete profile; half foot, 1/3 body, 1/8 rim; much of glaze gone. Some damage to surface by roots.
