Description:   Trefoil mouth oinochoe with flaring ring foot, slightly convex undersurface, flat resting surface, ovoid body with max. diam. above the median of the body, short, narrow cylindrical neck flaring out to trefoil rim with tapered lip; vertical strap handle attached at shoulder and rim. Profile similar, but not identical, to CP 863 (Corinth VII.1, p. 16, no. 56, pl. 8).
Decoration:   Black glaze overall with reserved undersurface and resting surface of foot; five sets of three reserved lines each at regular intervals on body up to below handle; third and fourth set of lines frame reserved band at max. diam. with solid black double axes alternating with groups of regularly 12 vertical lines; window-panel on the front of the neck with two reserved lines above and three below enclosing from bottom to top dog tooth pattern, two reserved lines, and four zig zag lines, the latter framed by two vertical reserved lines on either side; black glaze continues just inside rim; handles reserved on undersurface, horizontal lines on top. Decoration on body similar to amphora Kerameikos 866 (Coldstream, Greek Geometric Pottery, 1968, pl. 3d); decoration on neck similar, but not identical, to CP 1893 (Corinth VII.1, p. 20, no. 71, pl. 11).
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare medium to large rounded black and white inclusions.

Condition:   Complete or intact. Foot and body intact, ten joining fragments preserve neck, rim, and handle. Glaze mostly worn.
