Description:   Cup of Vaphio shape (FS 224). Flat base. Lower part of body almost cylindrical, upper part conical. Vertical rim. One vertical strap handle attached at rim and body, ca. 1/3 of way down. No ridge in the center.
Decoration:   Thick creamy buff slip both inside and outside. Decoration in fine lustrous red-brown paint. Decoration is type of foliate band; two rows of short curved strokes on either side o f pair of horizontal bands, but not touching them. Design in handle zone. Beneath it are two narrow bands and one broad band. Rim coated inside and out. Base has band around which goes also from bottom of base. Handle decorated with broad candy stripes.
Material:   fine hard pink buff clay
Condition:   Mended from 10 sherds. Complete except for tiny fragments of rim and body
