Description:   Large restored portion of so-called "rugose" ware baking pan; large slightly convey base with flaring edge from which side of vessel rises through slight concavity out to simple flat-rounded rim- except at one segment where rim thickens, flattens, and descends, presumably to form a handle (like a modern frying pan, Blegen observes). Rather prous fabric smoothed only in and out.
Material:   Coarse fabric, mostly dark inclusions, fired dull dirty gray at core to reddish-brown surface layers, faces dark and dull reddish brown; rather soft and powdery to touch
Condition:   Complete profile. Mended from c 40 sherds and partially RIP; giving about 3/4 of circimfrence but only 1/4 of base
Dimensions Actual:   D: 0.543; H (rim to flare at base): 0.080
