Description:   Jug with cutaway neck. Flat raised base, slightly flaring. Body shape is depressed ovoid conical. Fairly tall narrow spout, flaring slightly and cutaway in back. Rim is flaring and top is flat. One vertical round ribbed handle attached at back of spout and at point of maximum diameter of body. FM 36, #1350- small early jug with cutaway neck, LH IIB
Decoration:   Thick creamy buff slip; rather yellow brown, possibly surface treated. Decoration is lustrous black paint. Neck coated on outside and only halfway down on inside. Top of handle painted; base painted; entire body covered with thrush egg or stipple pattern with large irregular painted strokes scattered around on it. FM 77 stipple pattern
Material:   fine hard buff clay
Condition:   Complete profile. Mended from 19 sherds. Ca. 60% R.I.P. Complete profile preserved, most of spout, part of handle and half of base and parts of body. The rest missing.
