Upper surface not quite regular; near center 3 parallel finger strokes running parallel to long sides, then curving down at right angles and out, like tail of "R". Undersurface extremely rough, with much adhering sand and some gravel. | |
Material: | Clay fired pink at core, surface irregularly fired reddish yellow over much of exterior, to buff along one long edge; frequent medium-sized black and fine white and sparkling inclusions, frequent voids. | |
