Description:   Plastic sima with fascia crowned by an inset (0.007) vertical panel (H. 0.126) and moulding. Similar acanthus scroll sima types extremely common from 4th c. BCE on.
Decoration:   Soffit decorated with black band (p.W. 0.053) of round bead-and-reel, reserved on dark ground. Fascia (H. 0.062) decorated with swastika meander in light-on-dark technique and checkerboard, outlined in red. Panel (likely decorated with acanthus scroll in relief, consisting of unbroken, fluid stalk springing out to right from missing spout). Two tendrils curling down and out to right and left of stalk, both tendrils concave in section and likely similar in size. Face of tendrils reserved on matt black background, edges also black. Panel ends in crown moulding with painted red egg and dart decoration. Decoration somewhat similar to FS-988 (Bookidis and Stroud 1997, Corinth 18.3, cat. 73).
Material:   Pink buff clay.
Condition:   Fragment. Three frgts., preserving part of top, right, and bottom edges. Acanthus scroll, spout, and most of left tendril missing. Restored with sima from South Stoa Wells XII and XVI; disassociated December 2014.
