Description:   Sima with ranking face consisting of fascia H00.095, above which flattened quarter-round H00.070, crowned by ovolo H00.023 m. Top horizontal surface W00.092 m. Back of sima slopes outwards at 10 degrees off vertical. No horizontal hole in core of quarter-round. At rt. projecting tongue 00.10 m. long for overlap to next tile.
Decoration:   Front, top and back slipped, soffit to 00.03-00.05 from front edge. Decorated in dark on light: soffit: 00.024 m. wide red band along front edge. Face: double lotus-palmette chain on fascia, quarter-round, connected by S-shaped tendrils over-lapping onto quarter-round with ends curving up toward lotuses. Palmette had alternate red-black petals, axial petal black, rounded leaves droop slightly; red, concave diamond shaped hearts of palmette and lotus. Lotus leaves black, stamen red with facetted top. Crowning ovolo: alternating red and black vertical stripes on reserved ground.

Material:   Coarse clay fired buff at surface, red at core, with many fine to coarse (to 4 mm.) red inclusions, 1 black 1.5 cm.
