Description:   Lamp with flat bottom framed by groove, echinoid body, pared shoulder, broad flat rim with panel, plastic ring around concave disk; small fill hole off center at ca. 10:00. Small air hole at edge of disk, nozzle framed by raised panel. Vertical pierced lug handle, ending above bottom, 2 grooves down back.
Decoration:   Rim: plain. disk: Eros dancing or walking to lt. while playing pipe, drapery billowing out in back. Stands on a ground line. Somewhat indistinct.
Writing:   stamp. Indistinct inscription on bottom, Greek, poss. POS(PHOROU)
Mythology:   Eros
Material:   Fine pale brown clay with rare lime inclusions.
Munsell Color:   From 10YR 6/4 to paler and grayer
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., preserving right half of lamp with all of handle, right side of base of nozzle. Burning on nozzle.
