Description:   Lamp with base ring, steep straight flaring body, heavy mould joint, sloping shoulder, narrow flat rim, ring surrounding slightly concave disk with 2 fill holes on horizontal axis, imperfectly pierced air hole at edge of disk with groove to wick hole, groove on either side, tapering nozzle. Solid lug handle.
Decoration:   Rim: herringbone; disk: cross as Broneer fig. 52.7: i.e., monogram without loop; handle: band of hatching on top, 2 grooves below.
Writing:   inscribed. Poorly impressed on bottom, Greek: XIO/NHS
Material:   Semi-fine brown clay fired to gray-black in places with rare fine white and sparkling inclusions visible on surface.
Munsell Color:   Near 7.5YR 5/4
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact, heavy burning on nozzle.
