Description:   Mouldmade terracotta relief of a stele with helmet and snake. Helmet of Corinthian type with very tall and long plume and sharply outlined details. Plain moulding at top of rectangular stele. Serpent's head does not touch top moulding. Back flat and unmodelled, with traces of fingerprints from smoothing by hand. Front and back of figurine covered in white slip or white paint. From very similar if not same mould as MF-4014.
Decoration:   White slip or white paint.
Material:   Fine pink clay with frequent small rounded spherical inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/4 (pink)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving helmeted bust and approx. three-quarters of stele; missing bottom section and pedestal.
Period:   4th c. B.C.
Chronology:   late 4th or early 3rd c. BC, based on comparanda.
