Description:   Terracotta solid handmade group of five to six dancers moving in circle with arms joined around central figure (flutist). Each dancer has wide puffy strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, broad semi-circular face, broad short neck, flattened chest, tilted backward, especially at upper back and neck, wide flattened strips pinched as arms pinched to join with neighboring dancer, cylindrical body flaring into pinched splayed feet, one with added clay at around back of feet, attaching to base. Flat circular base with edge smoothed. Similar to MF-11510, MF-14347, and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).

Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with pinkish gray core; frequent fine sparkling, rare lg tabular angular red, rare small to large spherical angular white, rare med spherical angular gray inclusions and few sm platy angular and rare lg spherical angular voids
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow), Core: 7.5YR 7/2 (pinkish grey)
Condition:   Fragment. 8 joining pieces (base joined from Lot 863 in 2007) preserving 3 dancers from head to base, most of base. Missing arms joining 2 dancers and lt arm of leftmost dancer and part of poloi. Trace of flutist feet. Chipped. Discolored. Traces of white slip.
