Description:   Horse figurine faces forward with nose slightly turned right, with eyes, nostrils, mouth in relief, upright mane indicated by short grooves, reins and bridle in relief. Solid head, hollow body. Figurine formed of two moulds, one for each side, put together; not exact match, left hand side placed more forward, necessitating cutting of mane, top and underside of head to match right hand side. Right side of the face remodelled in detail, left side unfinished. Similar to horses on MF 9041 (Corinth XII, p.342, no. 2939, pl.142), KT 40-2 (Corinth XV.2, p.194, no. XXX.1, pl. 38).
Decoration:   White-slipped overall.
Material:   Fine pink clay with few medium rounded black, brown and white, few fine sparkling inclusions, and rare medium rounded voids.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 7/4 (pink)
Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment preserving head except for part of top and back mane and left side of mouth. Traces of white slip.
