Description:   Terracotta mouldmade solid female wears himation wrapped closely around head, resting high on the head with raised border above hair with slightly pointed peak at back. Hair frames forehead below himation. Small oval face tilted to rt., close set eyes, wide nose close to upper lip. Himation folds rt over lt partly covering chin. Back handmade rounded. Position of the head along with the head covering suggests a mantled dancer as MF-13835 (Corinth XVIII.4, p. 151-156, 220 no. H156 pl. 38) and similar to head covering and larger than MF-13991 (Corinth XVIII.4, p. 187-196, 243 no. H349 pl. 52).
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay fired brown at core with frequent fine small to very large tabular rounded mudstone, few medium angular rounded black, rare fine sparkling, and rare very large tabular rounded black inclusions and few medium tabular rounded voids
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow), Core:7.5YR 5/4 (brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single piece preserving the head, broken at the neck. Surface very worn and pitted.
